Affiliate Disclosure
Transparency is important to me. This page explains exactly how Napsology.com makes money, what affiliate marketing means in practice, and how it does — and doesn’t — affect the content you read here.
The Short Version
Some links on Napsology.com are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. I only recommend products I’ve genuinely researched and believe are worth your consideration. Affiliate income helps keep this site running, but it never determines what I write or what I recommend.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a way for website owners to earn a commission by referring readers to products or services. When you click an affiliate link on this site and complete a purchase, the retailer pays me a small percentage of the sale as a referral fee.
The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use my link or go directly to the retailer’s website. You never pay more because of an affiliate link. In some cases, I may be able to share exclusive discount codes that actually save you money.
This is a standard and widely used way for independent blogs and content creators to generate revenue without charging readers directly for content. It’s what allows me to spend time researching and writing detailed articles and keep everything on Napsology.com free to read.
FTC Disclosure Compliance
In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), I am required to disclose any material connection between myself and products or services I recommend. This includes affiliate relationships, sponsored content, and free products received for review.
This page — along with disclosures within individual posts — fulfills that requirement. I take this seriously. You deserve to know when a financial relationship exists before deciding how much weight to give a recommendation.
If you are outside the United States, similar disclosure requirements may apply under the laws of your country (for example, the UK’s ASA guidelines, or EU consumer protection regulations). This disclosure is intended to satisfy those requirements as well.

How Affiliate Links Are Labeled
Throughout Napsology.com, affiliate links may appear in:
- Product reviews and comparisons
- “Best of” roundup articles
- Resource pages and recommendations
- In-text links within informational articles
Posts that contain affiliate links will include a disclosure notice near the top of the article, such as:
“This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase through these links, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See my full Affiliate Disclosure for details.”
How This Affects My Recommendations — And How It Doesn’t
I want to be honest with you about something: affiliate income does matter to me. It’s how this site sustains itself. Without it, I couldn’t justify the time it takes to research, write, and maintain the content here.
But here’s what I commit to:
I don’t recommend products just because they pay higher commissions. A product that pays 10% commission doesn’t get a better review than one that pays 3%. What a product actually does for you is what matters.
I don’t write fake positive reviews. If I’ve researched a product and found real drawbacks, I’ll say so. A review that glosses over the negatives isn’t useful to anyone — and it’s not something I’m willing to put my name on.
I don’t include affiliate links on products I wouldn’t consider recommending independently. If I wouldn’t mention it without a commission, I won’t mention it with one either.
I research before I recommend. I read user reviews, dig into the specs, cross-reference expert opinions, and where possible draw on personal experience. Sleep products matter — a bad mattress or a useless supplement isn’t a minor purchase for most people.
That said, I am human. I have limited direct hands-on experience with every single product I cover. Where I haven’t personally used something, I’ll say so. You should always do your own research alongside anything you read here, especially for higher-ticket purchases.
Sponsored Content
On occasion, Napsology.com may publish sponsored content — articles, reviews, or mentions that are paid for by a brand. Any sponsored content will be clearly labeled as such, either with “Sponsored,” “Paid Partnership,” or similar language at the top of the post.
Sponsored content does not mean I’ll say whatever a brand wants me to say. I retain editorial control over all published content. If I can’t write honestly about a product, I won’t take the sponsorship.
As of the last update of this page, sponsored content on Napsology.com is limited.
Free Products for Review
Occasionally, brands may provide free products for review purposes. Receiving a free product does not guarantee a positive review. If a product was provided at no cost, this will be disclosed within the relevant article.
A Note on Prices and Availability
Prices, product availability, and commission structures change frequently. While I do my best to keep product information current, I cannot guarantee that prices listed in articles are up to date at the time you read them. Always check the retailer’s website for the current price before purchasing.
